ADHESION AND COHESION AT INTERFACES IN HIGH PERFORMANCE GLASSY SYSTEMS

Protein adhesion experiments

We will perform experiments of adhesion at glass/water interfaces using small oligopeptides synthesised ad hoc via Solid State Peptide Synthesis, in order to accompany our adhesion simulations with experimental information, and guide the design of novel anti-adherent materials. In our investigations we will make use of a variety of techniques, including Quartz-Crystal Microbalance as well as various spectroscopic, microscopic and chromatographic methods.
